Discover the desolate landscapes, traditional history and archaeology of the rarely visited Poike Peninsula
Poike is located on the east side of Rapa Nui and also one of the most and rarely visited parts of the island. There are no roads here, and most of the time no one else is around. It is maybe the last part of Easter Island that retains the isolation vibes from the ancient times. The archaeology is scarce and unique, very different from elsewhere. The only real way to explore its secrets is by having an experience local guide take you through.
Breathtaking landscapes, eroded soils, trachyte domes, petroglyphs, caves, unique small moai, ceremonial monuments abandoned 600 years ago like the rest of the Peninsula. It's a very special full day hike that only very few try. Don't miss the opportunity to do it as a private tour with the most knowledgeable team on the island.
